Do you love Manga & Anime and want to draw the characters better? In this drawing camp, our Japanese tutor Keroko will teach you Manga figure drawing techniques step by step.

Learn to draw exciting Manga characters, or brush up your existing techniques. Visit with your manga friends and spend creative time with us!

• (Exact class contents may vary slightly by student progress and/or specific requests. These camps aim to improve children’s drawing skills and do not focus on making comic strips.)

• Japanese Manga style & aesthetics
• Drawing faces, eyes, and various emotions
• Manga figures and body proportions
• Hands, clothes and poses
• Finishing your Manga illustration with color markers on the last day

Depending on the level, age, and interest of the participants, we offer multiple subject levels and groupings to help them develop each of their drawing skills.

Every participant will receive a copy of our original textbook “DRAWMANGA” (RRP £14.99) and Drawing Pad This book will be used during the camp and is yours to take home to keep practicing, and basic materials supplied per person.

Students’ Mini Exhibition at the Japanese Xmas Market in Dalston on 24th Nov

This Sunday, we will hold a mini exhibition of students’ art at the Factory (Dalston E8 2DA). The event futures traditional and contemporary Japanese arts & crafts, food and culture. So we thought it was a good idea to get involved this year.

We will have a stall with some wall space. About 30 of our learners have been working for the last few weeks to prepare the art that will be on display. The exhibition will run from 11am-6pm on the Sunday, and is a great chance for students to show their art to the community and put their skills into practise. Come and have a look if you have free time!

*Keroko is available at the table if you would like to consult about a class or get some art advice, unless busy for portrait commitions.

Topics include: Japanese Manga style, Manga figure, Chibi, body proportions, eyes, hands, clothes, emotions, poses. We will finish your Manga illustration with colour makers on the last day.

Come and try Froggy Manga Workshops for children aged 8 – 15 year olds, taking place in February half team. All workshops are 90min separate sessions: you can join for one session, or book for two or more sessions at a discount. Bookings for our regular After School Manga Club are also valid for these workshops. Please pay note that the venue on the 20th is in Crouch End and 21th is in Stoke Newington. Students can eat snacks at the kid’s cafe during the break, or continue drawing in the function room.
