Easter Holiday workshops for Children and Family

4 days = 6 workshops for the Easter holidays! (*schedule have been changed on 2nd Apr)
Come and try Froggy Manga Workshops, where we enjoy Japanese art – Manga Drawing/Origami and Japanese Crafts this Easter holiday! Some workshop consists of 2 separate sessions, 90 min long. You will learn art techniques in the first session, and then apply them in the second session to make things for yourself. Short on time? All our Easter workshops can be booked as single sessions.

Manga Chibi Drawing & Bookmark / Badge Making

Date: 4th Apr Wed 4 – 5.30pm

4 – 5.30pm : Manga Drawing – Let’s Draw Chibi Characters, and Make Manga bookmarks / Badges!
Do you like cute characters that have ultra big heads and big eyes? That style is called ‘Chibi’ in Manga terminology. This is a Manga drawing workshop for beginners and you will explore how to draw Chibi-face, Chibi-body and Chibi-animals step by step. Finish your artwork in colour using fineliners and comic markers.
Also, you can chose an activity type workshop for all levels. We draw manga characters, colour them with comic markers, and then transform them into to a unique bookmark or badge using our laminator.

Ninja Drawing & Craft Workshop

Date: 5th Apr Thur 3 – 4.30pm, 5 – 6.30pm
Venue: Yummy Yummy in my Tummy (56 Stoke Newington High Street N16 7PB – basement function room)
Age: 8 – 15
Level: any level

Session 1:  3 – 4.30pm : Manga Drawing – Let’s Learn and Draw Ninjas!
Learn about Ninja clothing, Ninja weapons, Ninja animes and practice drawing Ninjas in the Manga style! Finish your artwork in colour using fineliners and comic markers.

Session 2: 5 – 6.30pm : Origami & Craft de Ninja!
Making Ninja shuriken (ninja weapon in the form of a star) using origami and practice to throw! We also making Ninjas, Ninja masks, and Ninja handscrolls using origami and paper.

*There are only children’s chairs and floor matts in this venue.
*Students can eat snacks at the kid’s cafe during the break, or continue drawing in the function room.

Monster Drawing

Date: 11th Apr Wed 2.15 – 3.45pm, 4- 5.30pm

From spooky western monsters to cute Japanese yokai, draw imaginary creatures! Spring is here, but we can still have fun drawing strange creatures. Design and draw your own monstrous friends, then finish your artwork in colour using fineliners and comic markers.

Manga Drawing Clinic – figure drawing practice

Date: 12th Apr Thur 3 – 4.30pm, 5 – 6.30pm

Session 1:  3 – 4.30pm : Figure Drawing Clinic
What part of the human body do you struggle to draw? This workshop is for experienced learners. You can bring in your artwork and learn techniques with our art tutor Keroko.

Session 2: 5 – 6.30pm : Manga Figure – Pose and Movement
We will practice negative space drawing and quick movement sketches, which will help you to plan your drawing effectively. try drawing the body from many different angles.

Half term workshops for Children (Feb)

Come and try Froggy Manga Workshops for children aged 8 – 15 year olds, taking place in February half team. All workshops are 90min separate sessions: you can join for one session, or book for all sessions at a discount. Bookings for our regular After School Manga Club are also valid for these workshops. Please pay note that the venue on the 14th is in Crouch End and 15th is in Stoke Newington. Students can eat snacks at the kid’s cafe during the break, or continue drawing in the function room.

  • Let’s Draw Dragons!

    Wednesday 14th Feb 4:00-5:30pm
    Venue: Hornsey Vale Community Centre (60 Mayfield Road N8 9LP)
    (Level: Beginner – intermediate)
    If you like dragons and are willing to draw by yourself, this is the workshop for you. Learn the parts of the dragon and how to make drawings that look great on the page.
